Sorare starts the year 2023 with a lot of new features! It’s almost a revolution that the gaming platform is operating with new competitions for paid and Sorare free cards. Here’s what you need to know from the latest announcements.
New free mode in La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A and Bundesliga
You may have already noticed if you have already registered with Sorare, the free Casual, Academy and Training modes have disappeared from your screens as of Gameweek 341 (January 27-30). Instead, Sorare launches the Amateur Draft mode for the following competitions:
- Liga
- Ligue 1
- Serie A
- Bundesliga
The game mode is directly inspired by the Global Cup during the 2022 World Cup. With these new game modes, it is a real reset of the counters that the platform makes. Thus, all the free cards won before January 27, 2023 will disappear from the managers’ galleries.
Regarding the rules of the draft for each competition, 8 players must be chosen within a limit of 400 points. The average of the last 15 games determines the value of the player (the minimum value can’t be below 40). Moreover, it is not possible to select more than 2 players from the same club.
After each Gameweek, Sorare allows managers to exchange 2 of their cards, due to possible injury or suspension. For the rewards, the top 200 players in each league will receive Limited cards, which they can use in the Semi-Pro competitions.
Next steps: Semi-Pro and Pro competition
Once a coach has managed to collect at least one Limited Sorare card in one of the competitions, he can move on to the next stage: the Semi-Pro competition. In this league, you must have at least one Limited card from a player in the league and the other 4 cards can come from the Amateur Draft.
Finally, the last level called “Pro 270” is a capped mode with 270 points for all cards with 4 or 5 Limited cards allowed and 1 Common card maximum. All these new competitions give the right to Limited cards as a reward for the first 200 in the ranking.
Last but not least, the training mode is also evolving. From now on, it will only be accessible from Limited cards and only a maximum of 3 teams can be lined up per day.
